When you enroll on our site set up a new email account that will be used only for any new correspondence generated from your online dating activity. Then you will be able to easily keep track of all online dating communication. Do not include your real name in your new email address. Please remember LatinConexiones will never send you an email asking you for your email address, username or password.
Building Your Profile
Use photos that have been taken only for use on LatinConexiones and not anywhere else. Use a separate set of images and selfies or photos. Remember if you use photos that you have used elsewhere online it is possible to run a Google Image Search and another person can discover everywhere that you have appeared on the internet. Be certain the photos do not contain any identifying characteristics that could reveal your location. Do not disclose your identity, phone number or personal contact information until you are absolutely comfortable doing so. And then, still be very careful. Keep all of your communication and messages on the LatinConexiones site until you are absolutely certain you want to move them. We ask for your country and city but that is all the information you need to share about your location. There is no need to be more specific.
Meeting Other Members
Okay, you met someone! Now you are excited and your emotions are running high. Maintain your common sense. Settle so you can continue to trust your instincts and remember to be cautious. You still do not know enough about the new person you have met. Everything you have learned is being shared with you by someone who is behind a computer screen. You need to be settled so if something feels bad, or wrong, you can recognize that it probably is. In the excitement and fun and emotion of meeting someone who may be that person it is easy to let the guard down and forget the natural self-protection.
